Lead Teacher, Pre-K3
Full time

Our Pre-K3 lead guides our youngest learners through their very first classroom experience, building warmth, routine, and a love of discovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement intentional, research-informed learning experiences aligned with early childhood standards
  • Foster deep curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning through purposeful, engaging instruction
  • Continuously observe, assess, and document each child's development to inform responsive, individualized teaching
  • Cultivate and maintain a warm, structured, and enriching classroom environment where every child feels known, safe, and valued
  • Communicate regularly with depth and clarity regarding each child's progress, experiences, and developmental milestones
  • Lead parent conferences and foster meaningful engagement between home and school
  • Partner closely with our Islamic Curriculum Specialist to ensure Islamic values and character education are integrated naturally into the daily classroom experience
  • Uphold the highest standards of supervision and safety, adhering to all NJ DCF licensing regulations and school policies at all times
  • Engage in continuous professional growth and contribute as a valued member of a collaborative, reflective faculty
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred; CDA credential or associate's degree considered. NJ Teaching Certification (P-3 or Elementary) a plus
  • CHRI fingerprinting and full background clearance required
  • CPR and First Aid certification (current or willingness to obtain)
  • Required health screenings, immunizations, and TB testing
  • Ongoing annual professional development per NJ licensing standards

We are looking for someone with a strong Islamic educational background who is passionate about bringing our faith-based curriculum to life for young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead developmentally appropriate Islamic studies instruction in each classroom daily
  • Bring Quran, prayer, and core Islamic concepts to life in ways that are warm, age-appropriate, and engaging for young children
  • Work as a true teaching partner alongside each lead teacher, aligning Islamic studies with classroom learning so faith and academics reinforce each other
  • Provide attentive classroom support to lead teachers during the remaining hours of the day, including routines, transitions, and supervision

This is a Future Talent Opportunity. Our Director leads OliveTree day to day, holding the whole school together with warmth and steadiness. This is the person who sets the tone for our faculty, partners with families from their very first visit, and ensures that every classroom reflects our standards of care, safety, and academic intention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the daily operation of the school, ensuring every classroom reflects OliveTree's standards of warmth, structure, safety, and academic intention
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and evaluate a collaborative faculty, providing ongoing coaching, observation, and professional development
  • Oversee curriculum implementation across all programs, partnering with the Islamic Curriculum Specialist to ensure faith and academics reinforce each other throughout the school
  • Build trusting relationships with families, leading enrollment conversations, tours, onboarding, and ongoing family engagement
  • Own compliance with all NJ DCF licensing regulations and NJDOE requirements, maintaining accurate child and faculty records and leading inspections, drills, and emergency preparedness
  • Uphold the highest standards of supervision and safety throughout the building, modeling them for the entire team
  • Manage school operations including scheduling, staffing levels and ratios, supplies, and day-to-day budgets
  • Cultivate a positive, professional, and faith-rooted culture where teachers feel supported and children feel known, safe, and valued
  • Serve as a steady, visible leader for staff and families, representing OliveTree in the wider community
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field; master's degree preferred
  • Prior leadership or management experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool required
  • Meets all NJ DCF Director qualification requirements for a licensed child care center
  • CHRI fingerprinting and full background clearance required
  • CPR and First Aid certification (current or willingness to obtain)
