About OliveTree
What is OliveTree Early Learning?
OliveTree Early Learning is an Islamic school serving Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and Kindergarten.
When does OliveTree open?
Opening September 2027, families may now submit a pre-enrollment application accompanied by a refundable deposit. Formal admissions invitations and enrollment agreements will be extended in early 2027. Visit our admissions page to learn more.
Where will OliveTree be located?
Our school will be located in the Greater Princeton area, with the full address to be announced soon.
Do you offer Summer Camp or Sunday School?
Yes. OliveTree plans to offer both Summer Camp and Sunday School. Our Summer Camp program will be designed around outdoor exploration and play-based enrichment, while Sunday School will focus on Quran, Islamic studies, and Arabic foundations. These programs will be open to all families, with discounted pricing and priority enrollment extended to OliveTree students. Reach out to our team to learn more about these programs.
Program & Curriculum
What classes are offered, and will OliveTree be licensed?
We offer Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and Kindergarten classrooms. Upon opening, OliveTree will be fully licensed by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF), Office of Licensing (OOL), and registered with the Department of Education (DOE), ensuring our program meets rigorous state standards for safety, staffing, and curriculum.
What is your student-to-teacher ratio?
Each classroom maintains a low student-to-teacher ratio that follows NJ licensing standards.
What does your curriculum look like?
Our curriculum is built to support the five core domains of early childhood development: social-emotional growth, language and literacy, cognitive development, physical development including gross and fine motor skills, and creative expression. Our approach is guided by a research-based early childhood framework whose 38 objectives for development and learning give our teachers a clear, ongoing picture of each child's growth. Islamic values are integrated throughout the school day.
What are your teacher qualifications?
Our educators meet or exceed New Jersey state requirements, with credentials maintained through the NJ Department of Children and Families (DCF) and Office of Licensing (OOL). We intentionally seek teachers who combine strong educational backgrounds and classroom experience with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine love for children.
Will children be prepared for 1st grade?
Yes. Our program is designed as a complete early learning journey from Pre-K3 through Kindergarten, where each year builds on the last. Our Kindergarten curriculum is aligned with early elementary readiness benchmarks, so that by the time children complete our program, they are fully prepared to transition confidently into first grade.
What are the school day hours?
Our school day will run Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Early drop-off and aftercare will be available.
What does a typical day look like?
Every OliveTree day is designed to balance structured learning, play-based exploration, outdoor time, Islamic studies, lunch, and rest. Visit our Programs page to learn more about each classroom, as each class is tailored to its age group.
What is your meal and snack policy?
Families will provide daily meals and snacks for their children. OliveTree will provide snacks and/or meals for special learning activities and events, with advance notice to parents. The school maintains a nut-free environment and gives careful attention to all allergy-related needs.
Enrollment & Tuition
How does your enrollment work?
OliveTree opens in September 2027 with seats across Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and Kindergarten. Families who submit a pre-enrollment deposit beginning mid-July are reviewed first when full enrollment opens in early 2027. Any seats not claimed by priority families are then available to waitlisted families.
What does the pre-enrollment deposit do?
The pre-enrollment deposit secures priority consideration for admission. Families offered placement have their deposit applied towards the enrollment fee. Families not offered placement will receive a full refund of the deposit.
When will I hear if my child has a spot?
Beginning in early 2027, pre‑enrollment families are invited to complete full enrollment ahead of the waitlisted families.
What if my child's birthday falls near the cutoff?
We review each family individually and are happy to talk through whether OliveTree is the right fit for your child's age and developmental stage. Reach out anytime.
How much is tuition?
The monthly tuition is $1,250. Visit our Admissions page for further details.
Do you offer tuition reduction for early enrollment or siblings?
Yes. OliveTree is pleased to extend a 10% reduction in monthly tuition for the first enrollment year to the first five families who complete pre-enrollment. A 10% reduction in monthly tuition will also be available for siblings.
Health & Safety
How does OliveTree keep my child safe?
The safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. All staff complete required background checks, CPR and First Aid certification, and safety training before entering a classroom. Our building features controlled entry access, security cameras (interior and exterior including the playground) and strict authorized pick-up procedures. Monthly fire drills and quarterly emergency drills are a part of our standard operations.
How do you handle illness and immunizations?
OliveTree follows all New Jersey Department of Children and Families and Department of Health requirements regarding immunizations and health records.
Community & Family Partnership
How do you keep parents involved and informed?
Parents receive daily updates through our family communication app, including daily photos, learning highlights, and direct messaging with teachers. We hold parent-teacher conferences, and our director is always reachable for questions or conversations in between. Family events throughout the year bring our community together and keep you connected to what your child is learning at school.
